Between October and December 2017, as part of the joint EuroDIG-SEEDIG call for issues, Internet governance stakeholders were invited to propose issues for discussions at the EuroDIG and SEEDIG 2018 meetings.
In response to this call, we received a record number of 105 proposals for issues to be discussed at the SEEDIG 2018 meeting, scheduled to be held on 23–24 May 2018, in Ljubljana. These issues were submitted by individuals from all stakeholder groups, and from different countries in South Eastern Europe and the neighbouring area.
The next step now is to discuss these proposals and start drafting a programme for the Ljubljana meeting. We will do this in two online planning meetings:
During these meetings, we will also discuss the next steps in the planning process for SEEDIG 2018, as well as issues related to other SEEDIG activities. More details on the dedicated page.
Not sure what this ‘planning process’ means. Consult the SEEDIG 2018 Milestone and the Programme Guidelines.
Have you submitted a proposal for SEEDIG 2018? Are you a SEEDIG community member? Do you plan to join us for the Ljubljana meeting in May? Are you interested in Internet governance issues? You’ve just come across this site and are curious to know what SEEDIG is about? If your answer is ‘yes’ to at least one of these questions, then join one of the two planning meetings.
We look forward to the discussions.
